About CWNE
History & Vision of CWNE
CWNE was started by Aberdeen Climate Action in 2014 and is now organised by NESCAN Hub. Originally designed to raise awareness of climate change, but more importantly, to share what we can all do to make a difference and reduce our carbon footprint, live sustainably, and increase biodiversity in a fun way.
This is your opportunity to help shape a greener future. Whether you’re just starting your eco-journey or ready to inspire others, Climate Week North East welcomes everyone.

Are you ready to take small steps to make BIG differences? Let’s make change happen, together. Be a part of Climate Week North East 2026.
For 10 years, CWNE has taken place in March. It was 2025’s big decision to move the dates from March to September and we have continued with these dates in 2026 to align with Scottish Climate Week, and so many other great events happening in our region during this time.

Supporters – Past & Present
Climate Week North East would not be possible without the incredible support of our partners, supporters, and well-wishers. For 2026, we also invited interested individuals and organisations to join the steering group and help shape the festival through a collaboration of ideas, perspectives, and shared passions.
