The People’s Emergency Briefing plus Q&A Session

The climate & nature crisis threatens all aspects of British life – from national security to food supply. Yet most people have never been fully briefed on what it means for our lives, our economy and our future.

This new film, presented by Chris Packham sets out the risks facing the nation – and the credible, positive responses available – in a clear and accessible account designed for screenings in communities across the UK.

In November 2025, the National Emergency Briefing brought together leading experts to present the latest evidence on the climate and nature crisis to politicians and other influential people in Westminster. The subsequent film, The People’s Emergency Briefing combines authoritative scientific content from this event with reactions from members of the public and some more familiar faces – designed to help communities to process the information on a more human level. It delivers the frank facts about the threats, but also the enormous benefits if Government leads genuine emergency action.

Following the film, we’ll hear from a panel of local voices to discuss and debate the issues raised, reflecting on the implications for North East Scotland and exploring our options as a community.
